Reality plugin Call Reality plugin In 2009 I wrote the Reality plugin to bring PBR (Physically Based Rendering) to DAZ Studio and Poser. Over the next few years Reality established PBR as the best way to render realism with DS and Poser and shortly after both DS and Poser started integrating their own versions of PBR which were not quite as sophisticated or easy to use but they validated the approach pioneered by Reality. Reality could not do the task without the use of LuxRender, which was the actual renderer used. Reality managed the conversion of materials from DS and Poser into the PBR format and offered a material editor that still today is preferred by thousands of artists. While Reality is not sold anymore, I keep this site running for historical reasons and to make sure that the copies of Reality still in use continue to work since the DRM requires validation against this server.
